Mission
The Glenwood School Foundation (GSF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, founded by Glenwood parents in order to supplement state funding for public education. We operate under a set of bylaws, led by a Board of elected parents and two ex-officio members--the Principal and one teacher. Our mission is to provide general financial support to enrich and enhance public education at Glenwood Elementary School in San Rafael.
Membership
All parents of Glenwood Elementary students are invited to become voting members of the GSF. This means that parents have equal voting privileges as the elected Board members when important decisions occur. Membership is established by donating (any amount) to our Thrive Fund and attending at least one GSF meeting per year.
For the 2026-27 school year, the proposed public GSF meeting dates are:
September 15, 2026
November 10, 2026
January 19, 2027
March 30, 2027
June 1, 2027
