The GSF primarily funds programs and experiences that enrich and complement classroom learning. Through the years, the GSF has funded a variety of programs, including music, art, science, Think ‘n Tink, yoga, PE, technology, reading and math support, and more. We also coordinate and fund school community events, teacher appreciation activities, crossing guards and classroom supplies.
What We Fund
We fund all of this primarily through parent donations, including corporate matches. At the start of each school year, we launch our Thrive Annual Fund Campaign, asking each family to donate $750/student to cover the costs for the year. While any amount is appreciated, this is the actual cost to the GSF. When we exceed or fall short of our goal for the year, we recalibrate for the following year, and adjust our budget accordingly. We also host a fundraising parent-social each year that includes a paddle-raise and live auction to help supplement our Annual Fund.
